Tanya Y. Williams

Tanya Yvette Williams was born February 20, 1979, in Richmond, VA, to the late Alice Valentine Williams.

Tanya attended Richmond Public Schools where she later received her GED. After school she worked various jobs in the food industry. Her latest job was a warehouse worker for Amazon.

Tanya hobbies were going out to eat and shopping. She loved a good steak and seafood but don't forget about her French Vanilla Coffee with extra caramel drizzle from McDonald's. When you saw her, she was sure to have a nice purse on her arms. Tanya had a love for her children and grandchildren like no other. She was their protector first and foremost! Always there for them. On any given day if she wasn't' at work, you could find her with at least one if not all of her kids and grandkids. Whether it be her watching her grandkids while their parents were working or Ubering her children around dropping one off and picking up the another from work. She did it all with no complaint.

Tanya was preceded in death by her mother Alice Valentine Williams, daughter My'Asia Alice Williams, and sister Demetria Dark.

Tanya leaves to cherish her children Shaniqua, ChaDaysia, Kenneth, Kyerra, Kenard, and Myesha Williams. Nine grandchildren Kiarri Fleming, Dominique Williams, Dre'yonna Coleman, Lavar Williams, Ra'dre Coleman, Sa'Riyah Gilmore, Rah'Daysia Williams, Semaj and Se'Kani Tucker. Her father Thomas H. Williams Jr. (Brenda), sisters; LaKeisha and Kia Williams, MarKeisha Baskerville, Shaneka Dark, Sabrina, Steven, Stewart, and Felicia Walters, and her biological father Samuel Walters (Carol). A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles and other relatives.
