Richard L. Cooke, Sr. Obituary (1934 - 2015)

Richard L. Cooke, Sr., of Richmond, departed this life on November 30, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Heath Cooke and Laura Drakeford Cooke; two brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Jean Lee Cooke; one son, Richard L. Cooke Jr.; one daughter, Sherri L. Cooke; one brother, Samuel Cooke; one sister, Ruby C. Moore; three grandchildren, Richard Cooke, III., Jasmine Garret and Triyata Bartee; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 200 Old Hundred Rd., Midlothian, Va. 23114. Rev. Wayne Moody, pastor, officiating, Rev. Rodney Brown, eulogist. Interment Mt. Sinai Church Cemetery.
