Miley Alice Moore

Miley Alice Moore was born on August 19, 1946 in Leesville, LA, near Fort Polk Army Base. Alice passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, VA.

Alice was the beloved daughter of Jackie Gibbs and Louis Frank, and older sister of five siblings (two sisters and three brothers). She dedicated 48 years to her extraordinary professional life, beginning in the private industry for 20 years then 28 years in the federal civil service. She began her federal career with the Defense Logistics Agency (formerly Defense Supply Center) as a computer operator in 1984, moving into procurement in the mid-1990s, and retiring in 2012 as a Procurement Technician after 28 years of service.

After retirement, Alice stayed joyfully busy - traveling on bus trips, performing stand-up comedy at senior centers, playing trivia, and winning more than a few bid whist tournaments. She was an active member of both Chicago Avenue Baptist Church and Broad Rock Baptist Church. She loved cards, laughter, plants, and people. Adored by friends and instantly loved by anyone who met her, Alice was truly a light in every room.

She will be forever remembered as the most caring, giving soul, a “work mom,” friend, and blessing to all who knew her.
