Mary D. Lewis Obituary (1947 - 2018)

LEWIS, Mary Dickens, of Richmond, Va., departed this life on Saturday, April 14, 2018. She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Dickens Sr.; her brother, Benjamin "Crow" Dickens Jr.; and her mother, Ida Mae Dickens. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerome A. Lewis; two children, Dr. Nadia Lewis Boyd (Darrell Sr.), Demond Lewis Sr. (devoted and special friend, Tycher); one sister, Dallas D. Gayle; one brother, Elbert Ray Dickens; six grandchildren, six sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, along with a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends and the entire congregation of Star Fellowship Baptist Church. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull Street, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018. Funeral service is scheduled for Friday, April 20, 2018, 12 noon, at Star Fellowship Baptist Church, 2223 Keswick Avenue. Rev. Nathaniel Scott Jr. officiating. Interment Maury Cemetery.
