Harvell J. Munford

Harvell James Munford was born on January 3, 1968, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late Doris Evelyn Munford and Henry James Munford. On December 28, 2025, Harvell peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and hard work.
Harvell received his education through the Richmond Public School system and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. A natural entrepreneur, he built a career in road paving and carpentry, taking great pride in his craftsmanship and strong work ethic. He shared many years of meaningful work and friendship with his devoted friend, Rodrick White.

Harvell was a devoted husband to Levelia Munford and a loving father to his daughters, Tashianna Munford and TaJah Conyers. He was a proud grandfather to Ty’Mir Morgan, Ta’Kiiyah Conyers, and Ta’Miiyah Dotson. He was also a caring stepfather to Fa’Shawanda Flemings and Michael Lewis Jr., and he cherished his four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Munford; his sisters, Arlene Munford and Sharon Munford Louis; and his nephew, Ja’Juan Munford.
Harvell leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Karen Greene; three nieces; three nephews; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and friends.
Harvell James Munford was deeply loved, and his presence will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
