Francine E. Chambliss

Francine Elizabeth Chambliss, born on August 11, 1951, in Richmond, VA, departed this life on January 19, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Francine was preceded in death by her son JaVon Chambliss, grandson Deshone Hunt, parents Frances and Willie Wiggins, brothers Willie Wiggins Jr, and Thomas Leecost. Francine lived a life of full kindness, warmth, unwavering love for all her family and friends. A devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandma and community mother for her neighborhood. Francine was known and loved by others for her knowledge, strength, tell it like it is and keep it real personality, while bringing joy to the conversation at hand.

Through her passions, dedication and simple acts of kindness she was able to touch many lives with happiness and heartfelt love. She leaves behind her loving husband of 58 years John Chambliss Sr, son John Chamblis Jr (Avis), daughters Frances Cousins, and Telicia Chambliss-Brooks (Langston), fourteen grandkids, fifteen great grandkids, sister Virgie Smith (Joseph), sister-in-law Charleen Leecost, uncle marl Brooks (Valarie), Aunt Barbara Winston (Carroll) and a host of devoted family members.

Though she will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her savoring love and gratitude for her family and friends will last forever in their hearts.
